Lots of sensible advice here. Loses a point for having possibly the cheesiest use of stock photography I've seen in a while.

Note: my copy does not have the tagline "Banish Back Pain Naturally". I wouldn't have picked it up if that had been the case. It gives a well rounded account of all treatments for back pain, sensibly and non-judgementally.

This book contains an excellent explanation of the parts of the back, how the spine works, and explains common things that can go wrong with the spine. Most of the sections offer helpful exercises one can do at home if the person's doctor agrees that it's a good solution. The writing is clear, and instructions for exercises are easy to follow, even without being able to see photographs.

I borrowed this book from the library and had to give it back, but I may need to own this. There is a lot of information in it! And exercises to do for healing, and recovery. Good for referring to over and over!

Good advice. Nothing particularly new, except for a thorough description of a number of horrible illnesses that I didn't know that existed, and home my adolescent hypochondriac step daughter never sets eyes on. I suffer from back and shoulder pain, so I decided to flip through it today while at the library. I ended up reading every page. It breaks down the anatomy and physiology of the back, shoulder, and neck with really helpful images. The book covers a ton of back issues as well as how to treat them. There are plenty of exercises with visual instructions I found most useful. Definitely recommended for anyone who suffers from back/shoulder/neck pain.
